Yes, D’addario makes great strings, that much we all know. But these 80/20 EJ10s are something special. Great, robust, full-bodied tone, especially on solid-top guitars, barre chords do not sound muddy & boomy with these at all. Bear in mind, these strings are meant to be played on low action. Perfect for bending, pulling, sliding and hammers. These are without a doubt the only string set I’ll swear by.

Bright & balanced sound. Sounds good with Fender CD-60S model.

It’s good to buy non cotted strings because I’ve tried cotted once too and they are much expensive than this. And eventually they too get rusted at a point.so this was a nice purchase.

The bass or bronze strings are of superb quality produce a soothing and crisp sound.
The con is that the high pitch or steel strings are easily rusted in 2-4 months in my case. I ordered it about 2yrs ago.

Using on FG800 (spruce top) mostly for strumming chords with a pick and singing, getting very balanced tone with these 10-47 80/20 strings, maybe they’re quieter than 12’s but not significantly.
After about 3 months of use the strings corroded a lot which is normal for 80/20 but the sound is still surprisingly crisp and the intonation is perfect so this is only visual.
They aren’t floppy at all and there’s no fret-buzz added compared to 12-53’s that I’ve used previously. And of course, much easier to play than 12’s.
